Who we are

Coldiron Companies is a family owned truck driveaway and asset recovery business headquartered in Edmond, Oklahoma. This policy applies to this website, https://coldironcompanies.com, and to Coldiron Companies, Inc. and its affiliated operating companies, including Coldiron Specialized Driveaway, Inc. and Coldiron Asset Recovery, Inc. In this policy, “Coldiron,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean those companies together.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what information we collect through our website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers the website. If you apply to drive for us, log in to the driver pay portal, or become a contracted driver, additional notices and agreements apply to that relationship. Those are described below.

Information you give us

We only collect information you choose to send us. There is no account to create on this website, no comment section, and no public user profile.

Request a quote. When you use our quote form we collect your name, company name, phone number, email address, a description of the vehicle or equipment to be moved, the origin and destination city and state, and any additional details you provide. We use this to price the move, contact you about it, and follow up on the request.

Contact us. When you use our contact form, or email or call the numbers listed on the site, we collect your name, company, phone number, email address, the department you selected, and the contents of your message. We use this to route your message to the right team and respond.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, driver license numbers, financial account numbers, or similar sensitive information through the website forms. We do not ask for it there.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our web host records basic technical information each time a page is requested: IP address, browser type and version, device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. These server logs are used to keep the site running, diagnose problems, and protect against abuse.

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary for the website to function, such as those that keep the site secure and hold your preferences during a visit. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run analytics or advertising trackers that follow you across other websites.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Doing so may affect how parts of the site work.

Driver applications

Our driver application is not hosted on this website. When you select “Apply to Drive,” you are taken to an application hosted by Tenstreet, our recruiting platform. Information you submit there is collected in Tenstreet’s systems and handled under Tenstreet’s privacy practices as well as ours.

Applying to drive involves screening, including verification of your commercial driving record and other checks required under federal motor carrier regulations. You will receive separate disclosure and authorization forms covering that screening at the time you apply. Those forms, not this policy, govern it.

Driver pay portal

The driver pay portal reached from the “Log In” link is a separate, password protected system. Access is limited to contracted drivers, and the information in it is governed by your contractor agreement with us.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to quote requests and prepare pricing
  • arrange, dispatch, and complete transport and asset recovery work
  • communicate with you about a job in progress
  • bill for services and maintain our business records
  • recruit and onboard independent contractor drivers
  • keep the website working, secure, and free of abuse
  • meet our legal, tax, insurance, and Department of Transportation recordkeeping obligations

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising, and we do not rent or trade contact lists.

We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers working on our behalf, including our website host, the service that delivers web form submissions, our recruiting platform, our transportation management software, and our accounting and payment providers. They may use the information only to perform services for us.
  • Contracted drivers and recovery agents, who receive the pickup, delivery, and equipment details needed to complete the job.
  • Insurers, auditors, and professional advisors, where needed to service, document, or defend a claim.
  • Government agencies and other parties, where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe it is necessary to protect our rights, our people, or the safety of others.
  • A successor in interest, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.

How long we keep information

We keep quote requests and contact messages for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of the inquiry. We keep records related to completed jobs, billing, insurance, and driver qualification for as long as our tax, insurance, and federal motor carrier recordkeeping obligations require, and we dispose of them after that.

Your privacy choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and where it came from
  • correct information that is inaccurate
  • delete information we are not required to keep

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will ask for enough information to confirm your identity before we act, and we will respond within the time applicable law allows. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you made a request.

Several states give their residents specific privacy rights, including the right to confirm whether we process their information, obtain a copy of it, correct it, request its deletion, and appeal a decision we make about a request. We honor these requests from any United States resident, whatever state you live in, so you do not need to work out whether a particular law applies to you before you contact us.

Do Not Track

Because we do not track visitors across other websites, we do not respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals.

Children

This website is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No website or system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send confidential information to us through unencrypted email.

Links to other websites

This site links to systems we do not control, including our driver application platform and our driver pay portal, and it may link to customer or partner websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies before providing information.

Where your information is processed

We operate in the United States, and the information we collect is stored and processed here. If you access this website from outside the United States, you are sending your information to the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of the page, and we will note material changes here. Continuing to use the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
